For this project, Magnetti Building produced high-quality façade panels for a multi-storey residential building. Flat two-dimensional elements were combined with three-dimensional corner panels, which also function as parapets. The main goal was to create a seamless façade with no visible joints, fully integrating the panels with the load-bearing structure to ensure both stability and functionality.
The exposed surfaces were made of white concrete enriched with TX Active, an innovative material that helps improve air quality. Thanks to photocatalysis activated by light, TX Active breaks down pollutants. This keeps the surfaces clean and reduces environmental impact, while offering a long-lasting and elegant aesthetic.
The smooth formwork finish ensures a uniform, high-end appearance, resulting in impeccable surfaces. The internal faces of the panels, visible from the terraces, were finished with the same care, using a calibrated mix design and high-precision mechanical screeding.
The design presented complex challenges, especially due to the irregular pentagon-shaped floor plan, which varies from floor to floor with different lengths and angles, creating a visual “twisting” effect. To produce the 32 unique 3D panels required, a modular, adaptable formwork was developed in the factory, ensuring maximum precision and production flexibility.
