3 July 2018

The Bergamo-based company closes the 2017 financial year with an 11.6% increase in revenues when compared to 2016 and with a strong expansion of the “Turnkey” business activities. The company expects to undergo significant growth also in 2018, particularly in the redevelopment and prefabricated, made-to-measure components sector for modern architecture.

Carvico (Bg), 3rd July 2018 – Magnetti Building closes the 2017 financial year with a marked increase in revenues, reporting a production value equal to 45.4 million Euros, an 11.6% increase when compared to 2016, an EBIT figure of 2.2 million Euros as well as a positive Net Financial Position of 4.8 million Euros. The order backlog make it possible to reasonably forecast a significant increase also in 2018, with an important contribution made by both “Turnkey” activities and by the new emerging areas of the prefabrication field, such as the sector relating to the redevelopment and made-to-measure components for the construction industry and modern architecture.
“The 2017 financial year confirms that we have undertaken a growth path, both in terms of revenues as well as the development in the offer relating to new products and state-of-the-art architectural solutions – proudly stated by Umberto Magnetti, who as from last February has been at the helm of the company, holding the position of CEO –. Important outcomes, the result of constant committment so as to continue to be a point of reference within this sector”.
Signs of its constant propensity towards innovation are also the research projects that have recently got underway, above all, the “Progetto Tegolo” (Tile Project) in collaboration with the Polytechnic of Milan for the development of new, large-span roofing elements for a project that will soon go into production.
Another project worthy of note, in which Magnetti Building is a partner, is “InnoWEE” for the recycling of waste coming from the construction and demolition of buildings based on new formulas in geopolimer technology, in terms of economic feasibility, performance and technological advancement. This specific project foresees the development of prefabricated panels to insulate architectural building enclosures, such as “ETICs – External Thermal Insulation Composite systems”, ventilated facades and radiant panels for internal heating or cooling purposes. After having carried out lab tests, the panels will be tested in Italy, Belgium, Greece and Rumania under different environmental conditions and energy requirements. On the strength of 200 years of experience, Magnetti Building looks towards the future with ambition and trust, also on the basis of new orders acquired to date, with a significant increase when compared to 2017: its customers include prestigious names such as System, a Modena-based company, specialised in the development of innovative intralogistics and material handling solutions for the optimisation of the supply chain of warehouses, distribution centres and production plants, as well as AKNO, a Milan-based real estate company, and even an important foreign work order that foresees the production of architectural elements intended for use on the façade of a recently-built construction, which means taking experience and expertise also into modern, new architecture.
