DesignerCibin Studio 7

This is the challenge won by Magnetti Building, in collaboration with the design studio Cibin Studio 7, for the production expansion project of MEPIT, a company specializing in the manufacture of mechanical components for civil, military, aerospace, and naval aviation, with high technological content. The project involved a tight deadline and a strong focus on aesthetics and architectural detail: the works, which started in July 2019, had to be completed by the end of the year to allow the company to celebrate its 50th anniversary. The building was constructed using prefabricated pre-stressed reinforced concrete, with facades made from thermal-cut prefabricated panels. A unique feature of the building is the 25-meter clear-span interior and the metal staircase in iron, which adds significant architectural impact. The roof over the warehouse area was built using wing-shaped trusses, while the waterproofing was achieved with a TPO membrane without seams or holes, ensuring full water tightness. The membrane is mechanically anchored to the concrete structure through an electromagnetic induction process. The same solutions were applied to the office building’s roof, with the only difference being the use of double-T flat panels. It’s worth noting that the TPO membrane is eco-friendly, and its typical white color contributes to a better thermal gradient for the building.
